Mark Dillman - Director

Mark joined BCI Lawyers from Deacons (formerly Dunhill Madden Butler) where he was a Partner for 15 years.

Most recently, Mark has worked in Commercial Dispute Resolution where he has acted for a range of small to medium enterprises, national transport companies, power generators, private hospitals and health care facilities, aged care facilities, charitable organisations, property owners and developers and private individuals in a broad range of Commercial Dispute and Debt Recovery work.

He has a measured approach to litigation and is well known for being able to settle agitated litigants sufficiently in order to provide strategic advice and to achieve commercial solutions rather than just shooting from the hip. That is not to say that he won’t take immediate action should a situation require it.

In addition to his commercial dispute resolution expertise, Mark has also developed expertise and has a busy practice in the following areas:

Health Law, having advised on and drafted VMO By-Laws, Privacy Compliance Packages, Commercial Agreements including Service Level Agreements and Preferred Provider Agreements, and a raft of other issues including Regulatory Obligations, Substitute Decision Making, Consent, Record Keeping and Risk Management; and

Commercial Transactional Work, having acted in the acquisition of hotel businesses, franchise businesses, and other small businesses.

Mark is currently a member of the BlueCare Research Reference Group and serves on the St Aidan’s School Council.
