Chris has considerable experience in a wide range of areas including banking and finance, litigation, commercial litigation, commercial transactions, property transactions, trade practices law and industrial relations and employment law.
More recently, Chris has specialised in industrial relations and employment law and now practices predominantly in that area.
He has advised and acted for clients in a range of industries including the transport, security, hospitality, community services and agri-business on workplace relations, employment and industrial relations and he has a detailed understanding of the industrial landscape affecting those industries.
Chris has also acted successfully for both employers and employees in a variety of matters including drafting and implementation of workplace agreements, industrial disputes, unfair dismissal claims, claims under the anti-discrimination laws, workplace health and safety prosecutions, and employer appeals against decisions of WorkCover and Q-Comp.
As well as appearing for clients in the Industrial Courts, Tribunals and Commission, Chris also provides up-front strategic industrial relations advice. He has also drafted policy and procedure manuals relating to employment and workplace relations for implementation by employers in the workplace.
Chris is well known for his ability to get to the nub of the matter and then to achieve timely and cost effective results.
